ti amo italia

I did this a while ago

Photographs

These are from Roundy St. last year for those of you who know all about that year/this apartment we use to hang out on the porch when it started getting warm and drink good beer or just simply sit and talk or make great art work. Anyway these are some of the images i'm going to use for something in seminar.

well

home is nice, i have my moleskine and pens and watercolor pencils to do some stuff while i'm home... I decided to leave collage for when I get back to beverly...
I'm so happy with what I'm doing what direction I'm going in...
there is no one who is "good at art" people are good at what they do
and in a school like this there is no one better than anyone. there are who people who try and they succeed.
you aren't good until you are 25 and dead and have a piece in a well known museum or gallery.

Nikki De Saint Phalle.

While we were in Italy we went to Nikki De Saint Phalle's tarot garden and it was breathtaking one of my goals is to start doing collages and maybe abstracted drawings inspired by these images

Venezia

This is a photograph I took while I was in Venice. I transferred it onto newsprint paper with wintergreen oil and then painted over it with watercolor, charcoal and a little bit of pastel and the words are from a Beirut song called Venice.

gallery cat

great art & a little cat sitting in his cat bed on a heater... nyc is full of wonderful surprises.

my favorite place in new york city.

your blue like shadow

a page from my moleskine inspired by Ana Mendieta. Over Thanksgiving break I went to the Chelsea galleries in NYC and I was so lucky to have seen her work in person.

tonight

I started a series of collages which are all small works

just to get things started...

Here is some of the stuff i've been working on. During the summer I took an interest in water color & wintergreen oil while I was studying in Italy for the month of July. I decided to keep going with it. I will be using it a lot during seminar but I will also be trying other mediums.. I have so many ideas for seminar but I'm going to keep them to my self until I actually make something .....

wow it's been a while.

I would like to thank my friends who inspired to me to get back on this thing. I feel it's a good time to start using this considering a lot has changed and I've started doing different things since summer of 2008 and that this will also year be my last year at Montserrat and I will be in Senior Fine Arts Seminar! so here we go!
